Triple digit heat ends across the midsouth.

Nearly all locations across the midsouth did not reach or top the century mark Saturday as moisture…clouds…and rain with a cold front kept temperatures down. A slightly cooler airmass moving in will keep temperatures below 100 degrees today. Some locations will approach the 100 degree mark on Monday…but likely not reach or exceed this mark.

Now appears that 100 degree temperatures will probably not return to the midsouth as moisture…clouds…and rain will increase by the middle of the week. A significant cool down may occur by the end of this week.

The month of August is shaping up to be one of the hottest on record across the midsouth. The table below illustrate the observed temperatures through August 25th.
